"I started grooming when I was just 10 years old, after my mom allowed me to have my first dog—a poodle. When she noticed that I was retrimming her after every grooming appointment, she bought me my own clippers, scissors, and a wonderful book that featured every dog breed and how to properly care for their coats. That moment sparked a passion that has now lasted more than 50 years.
I opened my first grooming space in our basement, later moving into a room inside a pet shop as my skills and confidence grew. Somewhere along the way, I also earned my nursing license, working as a wound nurse and caring for patients with Alzheimer’s disease in Indiana. That experience shaped the gentle, patient approach I bring to grooming today.
After moving to Florida, I returned to professional grooming, working in several salons before spending the last eight to nine years at Bark Baths and Beyond. Now, I’m excited to be back working from home—at my own pace—focusing on what matters most to me: calm grooming, happy puppies, and creating positive experiences for every dog who comes through my door."
